[Hopson was looking through a closed window.] She stated that she thought they [firecrackers] had been set off on the street below and she saw people on the street running toward the underpass and the railroad track... She stated that it did not sound to her like the sounds were coming from her building.

I heard an unrecalled number of loud noises which I thought sounded like firecrackers. I could not view the position of President John F. Kennedy due to the trees in front of the building.
